Pamodzi Denmark AGM Report

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pamodzi Denmark was held on 15th March 2025 at Selskabslokalet, Stenkildevej 16, Aarhus, from 13:00 to 17:30. Members attended both physically and online, with several key actions and discussions taking place.

Meeting Agenda in Brief.

The meeting agenda covered the following main subject matters:

•  Brief self-Introductions
•  Why it is important to hold the AGM
•  The reading of the key action points from the AGM 2024
•  Review of “received” proposals from members
•  INSPIRATION PEACH by Mr. Patrick Mumba.
•  Pamodzi DK Chairperson annual report for the year 2024
•  The 2024 Financial report & budget for the year 2025-26
•  Annual membership fee review, discussion, and determination of new fee figures
•  Election of the executive board. On vote this year were the Chair-Person, the secretary and assistant, the treasurer, 1 board member and the auditor.

Meeting Highlights.

Moderator and Officers: 

Mrs. Shala Wissing was nominated as the AGM moderator, and Ms. Alina Mumba served as the ballot counter.

Chairperson’s Report:

Mr. Noah Chipeta reflected on Pamodzi’s activities, emphasizing the need for greater member engagement and participation. The 14th anniversary of the organization was celebrated, and key events from 2024 were reviewed.

Financial Report:

The Treasurer, Mr. Patrick Mumba, presented a balance sheet showing assets of 6,183.74 kroner and a debt of 13,813 kroner. Strategies for debt repayment and sustainable income were briefly discussed.

Board Elections.

The new leadership was elected as follows:

1. Chairperson: Mr. Noah Chipeta
2. Vice Chairperson: Mrs. Shala Wissing
3. Secretary: Ms. Alina Mumba
4. Treasurer: Mrs. Towela Petersen

Board Members:

1. Ms. Joyce Pedersen, 2. Rev. Jennifer Kabasa, and 3. Mrs. Ester Zulu Veenhouwer

 Auditor and Alternate Auditor: Mrs. Lilian Sinkamba Damkjær and Ms. Sylvia Holm

Key Action Points.

The main theme that dominated the discussions was the need to raise Pamodzi's capital assets and the attraction of more members to the association. Many good suggestions were brought forth and after a lengthy discussion, some agreement was reached.

• Establish a formal annual events calendar and share across all platforms.
• Conduct a member survey to gather input for future activities.
• Revamp the Events Committee with new members for improved planning.
• Develop a plan to repay the outstanding debt of 13,813 kroner owed to Mr. Chipeta.
• Transition Pamodzi’s official address and website operational costs to the organization.
• Explore partnerships with non-governmental organizations in Zambia for potential CISU funding projects.

Conclusion

The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the moderator, Mrs. Shala Wissing, who expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of participants and the organizing committee. The AGM successfully set the stage for future initiatives and member engagement, emphasizing the spirit of togetherness and proactive planning.
